When we think of the harvest, we hope for abundance. The harvest moon illuminates time in a way that allows us to hold the past, present, and future simultaneously- if only for a moment. What we reap in the present moment is a product of what we planted in the past. At the same time, in order to continue the cycle, we need to plant seeds now for our future.
As we head into autumn and winter, and the weather grows colder, we begin a drawing-in process that gives us the time to reflect on the past year, and plan for the one to come. As the trees drop their leaves, we can also think of what we can let go of, in order to be in an optimal state for growth in the new year, after a period of rest.
I am drawing to a close the year-long process of releasing my greeting cards in seasonal sets. The final set, Autumn, is now available on Etsy. You can get to my Etsy shop by clicking on the Etsy tab to the left of this page. In 2014 I will be releasing an illustrated children’s story, which I am hustling to complete before the end of the year! More info on that project to come.
If you have been around me lately, you have probably heard me talking about “radical forgiveness”. I am including the link to this life-changing book below. I hope you will find it as helpful as I have.
